Question of the Day

Dude, seriously: why so much Red Hot Chili Peppers on the radio? I mean, I like them and all; I have a couple of their CDs, but come on..."Under the Bridge" is like 22 years old and if I am in the car for even a short trip scanning through the radio stations, I stumble upon it somewhere. Or "Californication." Do we really need to hear these songs that often?

I say, no. No, we do not.

Yes, that's what I woke up thinking about. Weird? Perhaps. Off to the gym. Probably gonna come across some RHCP on my iPod but not those radio hits. I'm a rebel that way.

UPDATE 9:10AM: Wouldn't you know it? I'm about four minutes into my drive to the gym with the car radio on Scan and what was playing on 106.7FM...the opening chords of "Under the Bridge." Seriously. If only I could predict winning lottery numbers! Good little workout: 30 minutes on the elliptical with an average heart rate of 155, max of 167. And some abs. I have felt good about my workouts so far this week: all my muscle groups are sore so I know I used'em! Tomorrow will be my second chest workout for the week...edging closer to putting up 140 on the bench....

Comments:
I love old school RHCP. They have since gone downhill in my opinion. I don't hear them on the radio here, they play hair metal on the rock station here. Very random. I don't listen to pop stations, I'd rather dig my eyeballs out with a grapefruit spoon.

I love them too (like pre-1997 or so is best) but they are sooooooooo over-played here! We drove up to Boston today and heard "Under the Bridge" twice on the way up and twice again on the way home!
